Supporting communities where we live and work

Wolverhampton Wanderers

We've been the community sponsor of Wolves since January 2008, and donate match tickets to charities and local organisations across the region. As community sponsors, we also support projects initiated by the Wolves Community Trust.

At Birmingham Midshires we care about putting something back into the communities where our customers and staff live and work.

By making community participation a priority we can really help contribute to the local community.

Our community support involves a combination of business partnerships, charitable giving, fundraising and hands on, grass roots support. And staff at our Pendeford offices regularly raise funds for the British Heart Foundation, Lloyds Banking Group's nominated charity.

Tour of Britain

The Tour of Britain is the UK's biggest professional cycling race.

  • Shelter We've been supporting Shelter, Britain's housing and homelessness charity, since 2004.
  • British Heart Foundation The British Heart Foundation is Lloyds Banking Group's chosen charity of the year until June 2010.
  • Carver Wolverhampton City marathon We're proud to sponsor the marathon which has raised more than £200,000 for charities in the area.
  • Lloyds Banking Group in the community The Lloyds Banking Group takes a responsible view towards its relationship with communities, the environment, customers and staff.

Gross is the contractual rate of interest payable before the deduction of income tax at the rate specified by law.

AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once each year. As every advertisement for a savings product, which quotes an interest rate, will contain an AER you will be able to compare more easily what return you can expect from your savings over time.

NET rates are illustrative only, allowing for the deduction of income tax at 20%. If you are a higher rate tax payer, you may have a further amount to pay. If we deduct more tax than you have to pay this can be reclaimed from HMRC.

Tax free is the contractual rate of interest payable where interest is exempt from income tax.
