Award wins for BM Savings

At BM Savings we provide market leading direct savings products for our customers. We continue to be a direct savings provider in today's competitive market place, providing good savings rates over both short and long term accounts.

This was recognised at the 2012 Your Money Awards, which were held on 12 July, where BM Savings was named the Best Direct Savings Account provider for a record 8 years in a row, and for the 3rd year, we were also voted the Best Direct ISA provider.

The Awards are voted for by consumers and recognise value for money products and high standards of service.

We're also pleased to be able to tell you that we have also received the Highly Commended award from the 2012 Moneyfacts awards for our Fixed Rate Bonds.

Gross is the contractual rate of interest payable before the deduction of income tax at the rate specified by law.

AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once each year. As every advertisement for a savings product, which quotes an interest rate, will contain an AER you will be able to compare more easily what return you can expect from your savings over time.

NET rates are illustrative only, allowing for the deduction of income tax at 20%. If you are a higher rate tax payer, you may have a further amount to pay. If we deduct more tax than you have to pay this can be reclaimed from HMRC.

Tax free is the contractual rate of interest payable where interest is exempt from income tax.
