Managing your account online

At BM Savings we're committed to looking after your security when you manage your money online.

Managing your savings online is easy and saves you time. But it needs to be secure as well. At BM Savings we've a number of online security measures in place:

  • Secure servers - your account information is stored on servers that only allow access to authorised users
  • Password protected login - so that only you can get access to your account information
  • Auto log off - if you've been inactive for a while, we'll automatically log you out
  • Account locking - if someone repeatedly tries to log on to your account with the wrong login details

Can I change my username?

Your username is unique and for this reason you're not allowed to change it.

I've forgotten my password, can I reset it?

You can reset your password online - as long as you can remember your username and the answers to your security questions. If you can't remember this information, call us on 0845 602 2828. Lines are open 8am - 8pm, Monday - Saturday.

I've forgotten my username, can you send me a reminder?

We sent you a username letter when you opened your account. If you don't have this letter any more, call us on 0845 602 2828. Lines are open 8am - 8pm, Monday - Saturday. We'll send your replacement username by post.

For security reasons, we can't give out your username over the phone.

I've logged on correctly, why can't I view a list of my accounts?

Call us on 0845 602 2828 and we'll help you. Lines are open 8am - 8pm Monday - Saturday.

Gross is the contractual rate of interest payable before the deduction of income tax at the rate specified by law.

*AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once each year. As every advertisement for a savings product which quotes an interest rate will contain an AER, you will be able to compare more easily what return you can expect from your savings over time.

NET rates are illustrative only, allowing for the deduction of income tax at 20%. If you are a higher rate tax payer, you may have a further amount to pay. If we deduct more tax than you have to pay this can be reclaimed from HMRC.

Tax Free means free from personal liability to Income Tax.

For telephone line opening times, please read the information in our contact section. Calls may be monitored and recorded for security and training purposes. If you're calling from outside the UK, please dial +442920781145.
